Things to do in Comitán de Domínguez? Just 20 minutes away, in the town of Tzimol, you will find Las 3 Tzimoleras: an adventure through the Tzimol reserve combining a nature tour, waterfall jumps, rappelling and swimming in crystal-clear water.
Important: this site cannot be visited on your own. It is only accessible through a certified agency, and Las 3 Tzimoleras is the specialized one and, for now, the only way in.

Duration: 4 to 6 hours. Important: book at least one day in advance.
Getting there
- By car: to the town of Tzimol and the agency.
- By combi van: there are vans from Comitán to Tzimol; from there you reach the agency, which handles transport to the waterfalls. We do not have the exact van stop location, so ask the locals.

- Guided tour of the Tzimol reserve.
- Waterfall jumps.

- Swimming in natural pools.

Recommendations
- Bring a backpack with two changes of clothes: a light, cool set for the activity and a dry one to change into afterwards.
- The water is usually cold; if needed, the agency rents wetsuits (around $50 to $150 MXN).
- Wear non-slip shoes that can get wet (or water shoes): they make the experience much better.
- Bring a snack and at least 1 liter of water for afterwards (the experience lasts 4 to 6 hours).
- You can bring your electronic devices, but the agency is not responsible for any loss or damage inside the waterfalls.
- The best time to go is between March, April and May, before the rainy season.
- The guides take photos and videos during the tour and the agency sends them to you afterwards.
